American Fast Food All Over
Throughout the world, American fast food chains have become more and more common. Companies from McDonald's to Burger King, from Dunkin Donuts to KFC have built restaurants from Asia to Europe. There is even a Starbucks in China's famous Forbidden City now! But even as American style fast food is popular among many people, some claim that these companies destroy local cultures, making people forget about their traditional foods and represent an American effort to dominate the world culturally. In some places American restaurants have been attacked. What do you think? Should countries have the right to pass laws outlawing American fast food?

Child Labor Laws
All over the world children in many
developing countries are unable to go to school because their earnings
are required to help their families survive. It is often the case
that these children want to go to school but that their parents simply
do not earn enough money themselves to support their families without the
children's help. What can be done in such situations?. Do you think it
is so important that children go to school to become educated for the future
that their families should have less to eat today? Should governments outlaw
all forms of child labor so that parents won't be forced to make such decisions
and can simply send their children to school?
